Three women killed over dowry in Muzaffarnagar

Kavita was set ablaze by her in-laws in Kairi village yesterday, police said.

Her husband Sanjiv is absconding, police said, adding that a case against him and some others has been registered.

Another woman, Sunita, was allegedly strangled by her in-laws in Bhaukheri village over the same issue, police said.

Her body has been recovered and a case against three persons, including her husband, was registered.

In a simalar case, Himani was set ablaze by her in-laws in Chandsamand village, they said. PTI CORR HKR SHS
