Tin, nickel gain on good demand

Tin and nickel gained at the non- ferrous metal market here today on stockists' buying amidst good demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper, brass utensils scrap and zinc surged due to rising demand from industrial users.

Tin firmed up by Rs 25 per kg to Rs 1,380 from last Saturday's close at Rs 1,355 and nickel rose by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 825 as against Rs 810 previously.

Copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 433 as compared to last Saturday's level of Rs 428.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils, copper billets, copper sheet cuttings, brass utensils scrap and zinc edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 442, Rs 382, Rs 470, Rs 406, Rs 303 and Rs 241 as against Rs 440, Rs 380, Rs 468, Rs 404, Rs 301 and Rs 239 previously.
