: Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit and Chief Minister K Palaniswami today condoled the death of former advocate general Habibullah Badsha saying his demise was an irreparable loss to legal fraternity.
"I am grieved to hear about the demise of former advocate general and senior counsel Habibullah Badsha. He was a legal luminary known for simplicity, hard work and dedication", Purohit said in a Raj Bhavan release.
Badsha championed for the cause of education of the poor and downtrodden, especially on the importance of education among Muslim women, he said.

"His death is an irreparable loss to the legal fraternity", Purohit said.
Palaniswami noted that Badsha served as a special government pleader during the late (AIADMK Founder) M G Ramachandran regime.
"He has worked for the welfare of several educational institutions", he said in a release expressing condolences to the family members of the Badsha.
84-year old Badsha, one of the finest jurists of the Madras Bar passed away in city yesterday, after a prolonged illness.
