TN Guv, CM Jaya condole death of President's wife

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today expressed grief over the death of First Lady Suvra Mukherjee.

In his condolence message, Rosaiah said he was "deeply shocked and grieved" to hear about the demise of Suvra Mukherjee.

"...I convey my sincere condolences to you and to the bereaved members of the family. I pray to God to rest her soul in peace," Rosaiah said, extending his condolences to the President.

In her condolence message, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said "Although no words of solace would really be adequate in such circumstances, I wish to share your grief by conveying my deepest condolences to you and to all the other members of your family," she said.
 

"I pray that the Almighty may give you the strength and fortitude to withstand this personal sorrow. May her soul rest in peace," Jayalalithaa said.

BJP Tamil Nadu president Tamizhisai Soundararajan also expressed grief and conveyed her condolences.
