A toddler was charred to death while he was asleep in a house fire in a village in Shamli district, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when the one-year-old was sleeping in his house in Bhasani village while his family members were outside, Thanabhawan police said.
The blaze was later brought under control but by then the house of the child's father, Nadeem had suffered major damage, they said.
