Actor-singer Trevor Jackson has been cast as a series-regular on the upcoming second season of John Ridley's ABC drama series "American Crime".
The series centres on race, class, and gender politics as it follows a racially charged murder and the subsequent trial.
Jackson, 18, will be seen as Aaron Lacroix, a standout student at an elite private school who finds himself at the center of a scandal involving the sexual assault of a fellow student, which brings suspicion upon himself and his entire family, reported Deadline.

Jackson co-starred in the Disney Channel telefilm "Let It Shine", and his other credits include "Eureka", "Austin & Ally" and the upcoming "K C Undercover".
