Press Trust of India New Delhi
Turmeric prices rose by another 0.76 per cent to Rs 7,430 per quintal in futures trade today on speculative buying following positive cues from spot markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in December gained Rs 56, or 0.76 per cent to Rs 7,430 per quintal with an open interest of 2,955 lots.

Similarly, the April contract traded higher by Rs 40, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 7,108 per quintal in 10,440 lots.

Analysts said widening of bets by traders on the back of surging domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept turmeric prices higher at futures trade.
