Two brothers drown in river in Udhampur

Two brothers today drowned in a river in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

The incident occurred when Mani (25) and Javaid (19) were rescuing a sheep that had fallen in Tawi river of Chenani tehsil in Udhampur district, they said.

The duo fell into the river and drowned, police said, adding that their bodies have been recovered.
