Two children were mowed down by a car driven by the wife of an Army personnel in Colaba military station area in south Mumbai, police said.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon. The woman, who did not have a driving license, was arrested by the Cuff Parade police.
Sangita Roy (32) was driving the car while her husband, who holds the rank of Lance Naik, was sitting next to her, police said.
Sangita lost control of the car and ran over the brothers Akshansh Dhyani (12) and Abhay Dhyani (7), police said.
Both were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police registered an offence under section 304 of IPC (rash and negligent driving) and arrested the woman, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Manojkumar Sharma.
