Two fishermen were killed when lightning struck them this afternoon while they were catching fish in river in the Sundarbans in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district.
Police said the two, aged between 28 and 30 years were in a small motorised country boat catching fish in Jagatdal river at Patharpratima when they were struck by lightning.
Two other fishermen, who were also in the boat, suffered burn injuries and were rushed to hospital, the police added.
