Two held for smuggling heroin

Two women were arrested after 52 grams of heroin, allegedly smuggled from Myanmar, was seized from their possession in Seling village near here, police said today.

The women have been identified as Lalhmunliani (27), a resident of Aizawl and Lalramchangi (24),they said.

The duo have been arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, police said, adding investigation is underway.
