Two held in DA case against Hyderabad devp agency official

Anti-Corruption Bureau today said it has arrested two persons in connection with a case filed against a top of the Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).

The official, K Purushotham Reddy, who is (Planning) of HMDA, is currently under suspension.

The two, A Yadava Reddy and G Nishanth Reddy, have been arrested for allegedly helping park his ill-gotten money into and construction business, the ACB said.

Early this month, ACB sleuths filed a case against for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The official, who was suspended after the case was filed, is said to be absconding.

"A Yadava Reddy and G Nishanth Reddy facilitated K park his ill-gotten money into and construction business. They abetted the offence committed by K Purushotham Reddy," an release said.

An ACB had earlier said the documentary value ofthepropertiespossessed by Purushotham Reddy was over Rs five crore andtheir market cost could be close toRs25 crore.
