Two injured in firecracker unit explosion

Two persons were injured in an explosion and subsequent fire in a firecracker manufacturing unit here today.

The incident occurred when the unit owner Bablu Halder (43) and his son Abhinandan Halder (18) were making this morning, a police official said.

One fire engine doused the flame.

Both the injured were admitted to hospital where the condition of Abhinandan was stated to be serious.
