A man and his teenaged daughter were shot dead by suspected activists of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in Barmaja village under Karra police station in Khunti district, the police today said.
The victim Dasrath Sao and his 17-year-old daughter Neena Kumari were shot dead in front of their home last night, the police said adding the incident was suspected to be the handiwork of hardcore PLFI activist Akhilesh Gope and his two aides.
A police team rushed to the spot and investigation has began, the police said.
Both the bodies have been recovered and sent for post-mortem, they added.
