Two minor sisters drowned

Two minor sisters drowned in a pond at Bedeipur village under Kashia Marine police station area in Bhadrak district today, police said.

The girls were taking bath in the village pond when they slipped into deep water and drowned.

The villagers fished out the bodies of the girls - Mamun Malik (10) and Papun Malik (12).

The bodies were sent to Bhadrak hospital for postmortem examination, police said.
