: Two inebirated panchayat workers collapsed and died at a pump room in the panchayat office of Kariyapatti in Virudhunagar district, about 30 km from here, police said.
They said the workers, an electrician and sweeper, drank liquor and went to the pump room this morning. Another worker came there later, saw the duo had collapsed and took them in an autorickshaw to the Kariyapatti government hospital, where they were declared brought dead.
