Two persons were killed and another woman was injured when a motorcycle collided with a truck on Kalyani Expressway in North 24 Pargana district today.
Police said the accident occurred when the motorcycle heading towards Barrackpore hit a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Expressway.
The dead have been identified as Prasenjit Majumdar (30) and Tania Chakrabarty.
Prasenjit's wife Priya Chakrabarty (27) was initially admitted to B M Bose Hospital at Barrackpore from where she was taken to R G Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
