Goods and cash amounting to more than Rs one lakh were stolen in two separate robberies in the district, police said today.
Both the thefts took place yesterday, they said adding a hunt was on apprehend the robbers.
Some unidentified persons struck at the residence of one Rajbir Singh in Shiv Durga Vihar at Lakkadpur and decamped with jewellery and electronic gadgets worth Rs 50,000.
The family members were away when the robbery took place, police said.
Robbers broke into an electronics store here and stole 10 computers and LCD television sets besides Rs 12,000 in cash.
Store-owner Vinay Kumar told police the total value of the LCD gadgets stolen was Rs 90,000.
