Two-wheeler rider attempts to slap cop; held after viral video

A 34-year old man was today arrested for allegedly attempting to slap a traffic police constable on a busy road here as the video of the incident went viral on social media.

The two-wheeler-borne man allegedly abused the constable and attempted to slap him when he pulled him up for jumping a signal last evening. The man fled the scene immedately.

Police said the incident has gone viral on whatsapp, following which they launched an extensive search for the man and arrested him.

Further investigation was on, police added.
