Rapper Tyga has been slammed for allegedly not paying anything towards the upkeep of his illegal pet tiger, which now resides at a sanctuary in California.
The 26-year-old "Rack City" hitmaker faced criminal charges last year for illegally owning the exotic pet, so eventually surrendered it to animal control, which transferred the animal to Lions, Tigers & Bears non-profit rescue centre in Southern California, reported TMZ.
While it costs around USD 10,000 a year to feed the tiger, whose name is Maverick, and he also racks up vet bills, flea control and other costs, the facility's founder and director Bobbi Brink has said that Tyga hasn't made any effort to help out financially with the creature's care, or even thanked them for taking him in.
The facility relies on public donations to cover costs.
