Ukd CM congratulates leader of all-woman naval expedition team

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat today congratulated Lt Commander Vartika Joshi, who hails from Uttarakhand, for leading an all-woman world circumnavigation team.

The expedition was flagged off by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman from Panaji yesterday.

Wishing Vartika and her team the best for their expedition in a message, Rawat said the daughters of Uttarakhand had made a name for themselves in different walks of life and Vartika had added her name to that illustrious list.

The six-member team led by Joshi willreturn to India next year after circumnavigating the globe in approximately 165 days.
