Uttarakhand goes without power after northern grid failure

The electricity which went off at 0230 hours was restored at 0930 hours in the morning. However, several places in the hill state were still reeling under the breakdown, official sources said.

The breakdown of power also affected industrial production and railway services in the morning.

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) officials claimed they have restored electricity at most of the places.
