Frustrated of continuous eve-teasing by four youths, a student of class VII attempted to commit suicide allegedly by setting herself ablaze, police said today.
The girl was admitted to a local hospital with serious burn injuries yesterday and has been referred to a Agra hospital later, police said.
City Magistrate Hem Singh has recorded the statement of the victim girl.
According to the victim, after months of eve-teasing by four youths namely Iqbal, Lala, Sumit and Aakash, she attempted to take her own life by setting herself ablaze, police said.
Two accused have been arrested while the others are absconding, police said.
