Village Development Officer suspended

A Village Development Officer has been suspended for his alleged involvement in illegal allotment of houses under Indira Awas Yojana, district administration sources said today.

VDO of Belghat village Makardwaj Singh was found guilty of allotting houses to non-eligible candidates, who already possessed houses, in the preliminary enquiry, the sources said.

The VDO was suspended by the authorities yesterday.
