Village head found dead

The body of 52-year-old village

head who had been missing since the past few days has been recovered from Bavli village yesterday, police said today.

The bullet-ridden body of Rajendra Singh, who was missing since March 7, was recovered from a sugarcane field yesterday, they said.

Singh's hands and feet were tied with a rope, police said, adding, the victim was abducted and shot dead by in Badaut area.

On the complaint of family members an FIR was lodged against unidentified persons today, they added.
