A notorious criminal wanted in over 10 cases was arrested after an exchange of fire with police in Aska area of Odisha's Ganjam district, police said today.
A 9mm pistol, ammunition and a motorcycle were seized from the accused, identified as Kalu Biswal (30) of Baliapalli village, who was arrested yesterday, said Inspector In-Charge of Aska police station, Santosh Kumar Jena.
Biswal, who sustained bullet injuries in his right leg, was admitted at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here, he said.
