Woman dies after family planning operation

The woman, Kanti Bai of Dhaipura village, had undergone a family planning operation at Community Health Centre (CHC), Modak on Wednesday in a camp, police said.

However, following the operation, her condition became critical after which she was again brought to the clinic where she died yesterday, police said.

The woman died due an infection, Medical Officer CHC Modak Dr H R Ahuja said.

After the incident, the victim's relatives held a protest and demanded a compensation.

Following the protest, the hospital administration gave a a cheque of Rs 50,000 to the deceased's family.
