Woman found hanging, husband held

A woman was founding hanging in her house today and her husband, a police home guard, was arrested, a senior police officer said.

Sandeep Tiwary, a home guard jawaan of Bagbeda police station, who was recently appointed as a driver, was arrested after his 22-year-old wife Bharati was found hanging in her house, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (law and order) B N Singh.

Singh said Tiwary had married only two months ago and was arrested after his in-laws accused him for torturing and murder of Bharati.

Police has been investigating the incident, sources added.
