A 20-year-old woman was allegedly hanged to death by her husband and in-laws at Manethi village here, police said today.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim's father, Pooja Yadav, who was married to Gajender Yadav in December last year, was being persistently harassed for dowry by her in-laws and was allegedly hanged to death yesterday, they said.
A case of dowry death has been lodged against Gajender and his mother Krishna Devi on the complaint of victim's father Laxman and investigation is underway.
