Woman jumps off high rise, dies

A woman, who worked at a private college, allegedly committed suicide today by jumping off her apartment building in the Crossing Republik area here.

The 24-year-old was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival, police said, adding that no suicide note was recovered by them.

The woman, who worked as a stenographer, was married but living separately in her flat for past two years.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and police say they will be probing all possible angles into her death.
