Woman killed, five others injured in clash

A woman was beaten to death and five others were injured when a clash broke out between two rival groups over a piece of land at Kosnara village in Bihar's Nalanda district, police sources said today.

The two groups attacked each other with sticks and blunt objects over the land dispute last night leaving six persons injured, the sources said.

A woman, identified as Sharda Devi, died at a hospital during treatment, while five others were still undergoing treatment for multiple injuries, they said.

An FIR has been lodged in this connection against three persons, the sources said, adding a probe was on to identify other culprits involved in the incident.
