Woman kills brother-in-law for trying to sexually assault her

A 23-year-old woman stabbed her brother-in-law to death, after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her, police said here today.

The woman, a third-year college student, has been detained, after the incident at a house in Madhavaram Milk Colony last night, they said.

Her brother-in-law had forced her into a room before attempting to assault her sexually, while the woman's sister and another relative were trying to open the door, they said.

The body has been taken for post-mortem and further investigations are on in the case, police added.
