Women in Pusad tehsil of Yavatmal district took out a protest rally to the office of Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) against the forcible recovery of installments by hired goons of micro finance companies operating in the region.
A delegation led by Shalubai Kapse met the SDO and asked him to take stringent action against the erring companies and their hired goons who allegedly barge in to the household of debtors and hurl abuses at women.
The memorandum of demands was signed by 141 women debtors.
