World War-II bombs unearthed

Kohima police today unearthed over a 100 bombs dating back to the World War-II period from PR Hill Colony here, officials said.

Kohima police official Atu Zumvu said that 122 bombs of different sizes were unearthed in a construction site by labourers following which police was informed.

The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad reached the spot and the bombs were safely removed and taken for disposal, he said.
