The WWF-India has launched a Small Grants Innovation Programme (SGIP) with the aim at encouraging people to respond to conservation issues.
"The grants will be used to fund research and initiatives which especially demonstrate innovation that is replicable, scalable and sustainable," a WWF-India statement posted on its website said today.
The SGIP will provide grants to individuals for activities and research that would address issues and offer solutions towards problems of ecological threats, the statement said.
The programme is also aimed at improving local livelihood through conservation and natural resource management.
