Xosha Roquemore and Alano Miller to play lead in Ava DuVernay's 'Cherish The Day'

Filmmaker Ava DuVernay's anthology series "Cherish The Day" has found its lead stars in Xosha Roquemore and Alano Miller.
Each season of the series will tell the story of the romance of one couple, with each episode spanning a single day. The season-long narrative will unfold to reveal significant moments in a relationship that compel people to hold true to the ones they love, from the extraordinary to the everyday.
Roquemore will play the role of Gently James, while Miller will star as Evan Fisher in the first season, reported Deadline.
The couple meets and falls in love in Los Angeles, with the full season spanning five years over eight episodes.
The show, created and executive produced by DuVernay through her Array Filmworks, will premiere on popular TV host Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network in winter 2020.
Tanya Hamilton will helm the series premiere. She will also executive produce it alongside Paul Garnes and Winfrey.
