A young couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a pond in Bikaner, police said Wednesday.
Locals found the bodies in Kapil Sarovar on Wednesday and alerted the police immediately. The bodies were pulled out with the help of expert swimmers, police said.
The deceased were identified as Surendra and Bhagwati and they are suspected to be aged between 19 years and 20 years, officials said.
Earlier, Surendra, a resident of Pipar city in Jodhpur used to work in Bikaner's Barsingsar area. There he became close to the deceased girl who was a local, the police said.
The bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
