A courier service employee has
gone missing from here, with his brother suspecting that he may have been abducted after receiving a suspicious SMS from his cell phone, police said today.
Neeraj Kumar registered a complaint with police that his elder brother Dinesh was missing since Monday, police said.
Neeraj said when he called up on Dinesh's phone, he did not pick up but instead replied with an SMS that he was in a lot of debt and committing suicide, they said.
The matter is being probed, they said.
Meanwhile, the owner of a manufacturing unit here has complained to police about receiving extortion calls.
Ghansham told police that he was getting calls from an unknown number asking him to give Rs 4 lakh or he would be killed, police said, adding that the matter is being probed.
