An class 11 student suffered

critical injuries after coming in contact with a tripped high voltage wire in Karawal Nagar area of northeast Delhi today.

Vishal Singh (17), had gone to buy mobile oil for his motorcycle when he came in contact with the unattended wire. He was immediately rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable, police said.

Police have registered a case of negligence and are investigating the matter.
