A 22-year-old youth was kidnapped and brutally murdered over an old enmity, following which two people have been arrested here, police said today.
Karanbir Singh's body was found today from an agricultural field on the outskirts of the city, they said.
Singh was kidnapped by a group of youths on Saturday, who brutally tortured and later shot him dead before dumping his body at a secluded spot, police said.
Two youths, Raghu and Ashu have been arrested in this connection while a hunt is on nab three of their accomplices, they added.
An old rivalry is stated to be the motive behind the murder, police said.
