Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc futures traded 0.39 per cent lower at Rs 114.45 per kg today after speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend.

In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery this month (August) declined 45 paise, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 114.45 per kg. It clocked a business turnover of 415 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in September softened by 40 paise, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 115.35 per kg in 22 lots.

Analysts said weakness in zinc futures trade was mostly due to a falling trend in base metals pack and other commodities in the global markets on growth concerns after data last week showed China's manufacturing fell to the lowest in more than six years.
