Prices of zinc and nickel moved up by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today, largely on firming global trend.
Traders said sentiment turned better as zinc advanced to trade near a 35-month high in global markets.
This is amid shrinking stockpiles after economic growth expanded more than estimated in China, the world's biggest consumer of base metals.

Meanwhile, zinc for delivery in three months added one per cent to USD 2,320.75 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, zinc ingot and nickel (4x4)rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 115-121 and Rs 1094-1100 per kg respectively.
