Canara Bank Net At Rs 147.40 Cr

The bank has declared a dividend of Rs 23.9 crore. During 1996-97, the total advances of the bank touched Rs 14,413 crore, an increase of Rs 1317 crore. The ratio of priority sector advances to net credit has gone up to 49.5 per cent as against the stipulated 40 per cent. The capital adequacy ratio of the bank stood at 10.17 per cent against the international norm of 8 per cent.
