Disney Products Plans 24-Hour Channel

Walt Disney Consumer Products India, the 51:49 joint venture between the Walt Disney company and the K K Modi group, is planning to introduce a 24-hour Disney channel in the country.

The channels' programmes will be beamed from Singapore and will be brought by Buena Vista TV, the entertainment division of the joint venture company.

The other division of the company looks after businesses in consumer products and merchandising through retail outlets.

For the Walt Disney company worldwide, almost 90 per cent of its over $ 20 billion revenue is generated through television, movies and theme parks.
