Hc Hydro To Set Up Refinery

HC Hydrocarbons, a company floated by a group of NRIs, has evinced interest in setting up a petroleum refinery and a urea plant at Satyavedu in Chittoor district.
Disclosing this in the legislative assembly during question hour yesterday, industry minister Basheeruddin Babu Khan said the company has indicated an investment of over Rs 12,250 crore for the twin projects.
While the refinery capacity will be 25 million tonnes per annum that of the urea plant will be 40 lakh tonnes per annum.

Khan denied that the RPG group which has proposed to set up a Rs 1,200-crore urea plant of 7-lakh tpa capacity at Vizag have decided to shift the project to Chennai.
About 500 acres of land have been acquired and handed over to the group for setting up the plant, he added. Two more urea plants, one at Kakinada and another at Visakhapatnam were in the pipeline, he added.
