Jawahar Rozgar Yojana has generated 1957.58 lakh mandays in the first eight months of the current fiscal year. This is 50.66 per cent of the target of 3846 lakh mandays targetted for the whole 1997-98, an official release said here yesterday. pti

Among the total employment generated, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes accounted for 37.84 per cent and 17.91 per cent respectively, the release said.
