Pay Hike For Ambanis

RIL proposes to hike the salary and allowances of its chairman Dhirubhai Ambani, vice-chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani, managing director Anil Ambani and executive directors Nikhil R Meswani and Hital R Meswani from 0.75 per cent of the company's net profits to 1 per cent.

The revised salary structure takes effect from April 1. Dhirubhai will be paid Rs 6.25 lakh as salary, topped with Rs 4.50 lakh as perquisites and allowances.

Brothers Mukesh and Anil Ambani will take home a Rs 9 lakh package each_Rs 5 lakh as salary and Rs 4 lakh as perks and allowances.

In comparison, executive director Nikhil Meswani will get a salary of Rs 1.25 lakh a month with perks and allowances of Rs 2 lakh.

 

The company said its remuneration committee had proposed to hike the compensation package for all wholetime directors.
