Rs 875 Crore Fdi Proposal Of Ge Capital Cleared

All the projects, totalling foreign direct investment of Rs 2674 crore with an export projection of about Rs 6723 crore, had already received approval from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board at its meeting last Saturday.

Other notable projects that have been cleared in this round are the Rs 41 crore investment proposal of Rupert Murdoch's group company News Television India Pvt Ltd (which manages Star TV's operations in the country), Henkel Spic India's Rs 88.59 crore proposal, HCL Corporation Ltd's Rs 52.20 crore investment proposal for software development, Bobst (India) Sales and Services Pvt Ltd's Rs 255 crore project for packaging and paper converting project, and Jeyjeth Granite Products Ltd's Rs 100 crore proposal for granite mining and trading activity.

 

Mobil International Petroleum Corporation's Rs 11.70 crore project for port terminal construction, MDS Switchgear's Rs 74.10 crore proposal for electrical safety devices manufacture, and Gabriel India's Rs 11.84 crore proposal for manufacture and sale of catalytic convertors have also been approved by the minister.

The Rs 12 crore proposal of French giant Air Liquide India Holding for acquiring 76 per cent equity in Tech-gas Equipment Pvt Ltd has also been cleared.

Other clearances include the Rs 17.50 crore proposal by Swiss company UBS Securities, Rs 15 crore proposal of Ceat Financial Services, Rs 70 crore FDI proposal by Bellary Steel & Alloys Ltd for an integrated steel plant, Rs 10.5 crore investment plan by US-based Emery Air Freight Corporation for multi-modal transport business, Rs 14.87 crore proposal of US-based Beverage Air for food service equipment manufacture, Rs 8 crore proposal of Dynamix Dairy Industries for dairy products manufacture, and Rs 8 crore proposal by Amber Distillers Ltd .

for production of alcoholic beverages.
