Small Frauds

The media is full of alarming disclosures about the massive fraud committed by CRB Capital Markets. But small frauds dont get covered. Sometime back, Real Value Appliances Pvt Ltd, a manufacturing company, suddenly stopped refund of public deposits. Some Khar residents jointly brought the matter to the notice of the public, through the press. Reportedly, a broker has since filed a suit in Bombay High Court and got the companys accounts frozen. However, many small depositors, particularly retired persons, are still in the dark about the fate of their deposits. I am a retired person and had requested the company to refund my small deposit of Rs 5,000 on compassionate grounds but have got no response as yet.
