Software Tech Group Enters Spread Mode

Software Technology Group International has embarked on an expansion programme to expand its information technology education centres in India and abroad by 50 per cent. From the existing 200 IT education centres in the country, it plans to increase it to 300 by the end of the current financial year.
The Delhi-based company, which is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and Delhi Stock Exchange, will also be adding 40 new centres in the overseas countries, including in Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Vietnam and several other countries in the Asian subcontinent.
The domestic expansion of its IT education centres will be mainly through franchisees, while its overseas expansion of IT education centres will be mainly through joint venture partnerships.

It already has a presence in UAE and the Muscat centre is scheduled to open in June. In Sri Lanka, the company plans to open 5 IT education centres through local partnership.
In Pune, the company is setting up two IT education centres with one only operational in the city on Monday.
Although IT education is the main source of income for the company, it plans to get more into software development through overseas ventures. The company's software development division has recently set-up a wholly owned subsidiary in the US to offer on-site and offshore services abroad.
"Last year we earned 92 per cent of our total income from training programmes at our IT education centres and the balance 8 per cent came from software development. The share of income earned from software development will increase to 10 per cent in the current year," AM Thimmiya, senior vice president, western India and Far East Asia of Software Technology Group International said.
The company plans to get in a big way into the e-commerce solution business focussing at providing business-to-business e-commerce solutions in the overseas markets.
